Maria and Trista have been best friends for as long as either can remember. They look almost
identical, but their personalities differ drastically.
Trista is very anti-social on the surface, but can be very caring when she wants to be. She is a
fairly good Pokemon trainer, since she used to train and play with the family Pokemon as a child.
She prefers the company of Pokemon, sometimes even over that of her sister. She loves to train
fire Pokemon, and always welcomes a challenge.
Maria is Trista's twin sister, though younger by 3 minutes. She tends to be more open and
understanding than her sister, but has a tendency to whine a fair bit, especially around Trista.
She doesn't normally mind the company of others, but adores Pokemon and likes to spend
more of her time with them. She prefers to train water- and ice-type Pokemon.
History
They both developed a love for Pokemon when they were very young, since both their parents were
trainers. There were always plenty of Pokemon around to play with, and the girls took every
opportunity to watch their parents in action.
When they turned 16, Trista and Maria decided to start their own journey. They found Shanyuan
after a month of searching, and decided it was as good a place as any to start their adventure.
Just after their 18th birthday, Trista decided that Shanyuan and it's Pokemon were getting
boring. She packed up, gave her and her sister's Pokemon to her parents, and dragged her sister
onto a boat that would take them to a new island.
