New to the region

Ashton had a lot of thinking to do as he stood outside of the lab. He had so many choices of what he could pick to travel with and breed, and he knew he'd run into so many more along the way... The only pokémon he had seen before really were Whismur, Loudred, and Exploud, with a few Roselia here and there that he had bred before, and really nothing beyond that, but he knew he wanted to start with something new. He had done some research on the boat ride to help make his choice, and he was down to a few... Mostly birds. Still, he stood outside the lab, not wanting to enter until he was certain.

After a few more minutes of contemplation, Ashton finally stepped up to the lab doors and opened them, making his way inside. He waited patiently by the doors, waiting for a lab attendant to help him; he didn't want to disturb anyone himself, after all. They might be busy.

And busy they were. Kanti was rushing around the lab in the back, trying to get a few pokémon back into their balls so they could be given to new trainers, whether they liked it or not. Ashton would be able to hear a few loud crashes and a mini explosion in the back, and some curses being muttered. Kanti stepped into the front room, her straightened hair disheveled and her lab coat dirty and slightly askew. She blinked in surprise upon seeing Ashton. How long had he been standing there? She brushed her fringe out of her eyes and straightened her coat, sauntering over to the newcomer. A Houndour pup merrily trotted out of the back room, a satisfied smirk on her features.

"Hello there!" Kanti greeted the boy, a smile playing on her lips while her eyes remained just a bit bothered. "I hope you haven't been waiting long! So sorry about the noises and the mess around here." If Ashton took a look around, he would see that pokmon paw prints were all over the floor, some files were open on desks and some papers were in messy stacks. Some papers even seemed blown to a particular corner of the room, perhaps from a blast of some sort. "What can I help you with?" she asked, her tone pleasant.
